A Bit About Me
Tracy’s passion for helping others and her strong educational roots as a product of Historically Black Colleges and Universities led her to founding HBCU Endzone, Incorporated a 501(c)(3) organization. Tracy is a skilled marketing professional with over 25 years’ experience in branding and marketing. As CEO of Wright Consultants, LLC she works with a creative team to develop and implement comprehensive promotion and marketing plans for clients to maximize revenue, exposure for organizations and attendance to various events including professional and collegiate sporting events. Her responsibility includes identifying partners and potential sponsors and acting as the lead for clients in prospecting and cultivating sponsorships and closing agreements to help clients achieve their goals and objectives.
Tracy’s nonprofit background includes serving as Executive Director of the Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation Foundation. Under her leadership, over 23 million dollars in sponsorship, donations, and grants were raised. She worked as the Director of Marketing and Corporate Sponsorships for the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). In that role, Tracy was responsible for prospecting and working with corporate sponsors to increase conference revenue. Tracy also worked as the Director of University Communications at Grambling State University. In that capacity, she was the key spokesperson for the university and responsible for the overall branding, marketing and public relations of the university.
Tracy began her career in the broadcasting industry working for over 17 years at various network affiliates. She has worked in the Atlanta market at ABC affiliate WSB-TV, Fox 5 Atlanta and Georgia Public Broadcasting. Wright began her television career at WCBD, an ABC affiliate in Charleston, South Carolina as a production assistant. She worked her way through the ranks at several television stations in various positions ranging from associate producer, writer/producer before getting her first management job as a Marketing Director in 2000 at WNCT-TV a CBS affiliate in Greenville, North Carolina.
Tracy grew up in South Carolina and has a BA from South Carolina State University and an MPA from Delaware State University. She serves on the Board of Trustees for Florida Memorial University and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
